IBANZ names new CEO
The Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand has appointed Katherine Wilson as CEO.
She will take the role on September 8 after finishing as head of advocacy at Property Council New Zealand.
Ms Wilson takes over from Mel Gorham, who departed last month after a five-year tenure.
IBANZ acting president Sam Kerr says Ms Wilson’s experience in other member organisations is an “invaluable” asset.
“These are complex and challenging times for the insurance industry and Katherine has the right mix of government relations and advocacy experience, strategic thinking and leadership skills to take our organisation forward,” he said.
Ms Wilson says she looks forward to connecting with industry members and serving as “the voice for insurance brokers across New Zealand”.
