Tower fills casual director vacancy

Tower has appointed former KPMG partner Jefferson Gibbs as an independent director.

Sydney-based Mr Gibbs has specialised in general insurance and enterprise risk management across his career and is a former president of the Actuaries Institute.

Tower chair Naomi Ballantyne says he brings general insurance expertise, strong actuarial judgment and extensive governance experience across regulated financial services.

“His experience in risk, reinsurance, capital management and financial governance will be valuable to Tower as we continue to invest in growth, innovation and customer experience, and deliver long-term value for shareholders,” she said.

Mr Gibbs retired as a KPMG partner last year.
