QBE chooses grant winners

Twelve groups will receive $50,000 each under the QBE Foundation’s grant program supporting inclusion and climate resilience initiatives in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region.

QBE says it received more than 300 applications this year, with staff also nominating organisations in the employee choice category.

The climate resilience recipients are Bush Heritage Australia, DeadlyScience, Mornington Peninsula & Western Port Biosphere Reserve Foundation, and Parklands Albury Wodonga.

The inclusion recipients are Friends with Dignity Australia, TABOO Foundation (incorporated as The Butterfly Movement), the Warrior Woman Foundation and WYWM Academy.

Staff choices are Precious Wings, Safe Pets Safe Families, the Lung Warrior and the TLR Foundation.

Foundation co-chair Julie Starley says the grants help “accelerate the work of community organisations creating purposeful, long-term change in the areas that need it most.

“This year’s 12 recipients have shown outstanding commitment in tackling climate challenges, promoting inclusion and strengthening communities. It’s a privilege to support their efforts and see the difference they’re making.”

Grant applications will open again early next year. Find more information here
