Liberty Specialty Markets casualty manager and assistant VP of NSW operations John Nicholls is transferring to the company’s reinsurance team.

He has been appointed casualty underwriting manager for Liberty Mutual Reinsurance Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Nicholls moves after 17 years with Liberty’s insurance team in Sydney. He has also worked at AIG, Marsh and Aon.  

Liberty Mutual Reinsurance Australia and NZ head Mark De La Mare says the internal move “clearly demonstrates the strength of our One Liberty model.
