BMS secures a new kind of recognition
BMS Australia has been declared a “kind company” for its efforts to build a considerate business culture.
The accreditation, from workplace assessor the Kind Group, comes after the broker undertook a two-year program to incorporate 12 “attributes of kindness” in its workplace.
The process included training focused on mindfulness, collaboration and self-acceptance, and a workplace “kindness tracker” recognising actions across the business.
BMS is the first insurance organisation to receive formal recognition from the Kind Group, and CEO Andrew Godden says it “reflects the company’s authentic, people-first approach”.
“Kindness has always been core to how we do business – how we treat our people, our clients, our insurer partners and our community,” Mr Godden said.
“This accreditation validates our belief that kindness is not a soft skill but a powerful driver of collaboration, wellbeing and business performance.”
Kind Group founder Kath Koschel says BMS can “genuinely walk the talk”.
“Over the past two years, their commitment has proven that kindness isn’t just good for people, but also for performance and growth,” she said. “It’s been a joy working with the entire team to reach this milestone, and I’m excited to continue building on this important work together.”
BMS says the accreditation shows the value of environmental, social and governance commitments, and that “businesses can balance commercial success with care for people and community”.
