ANZIIF course aims to improve NZ industry conduct

A new “Building Integrity” course has been launched by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) for New Zealand insurance professionals.

The short course aims to raise awareness of issues around conduct and culture in the industry. It explores the issues, the consequences and the strategies to improve outcomes for customers.

It was created in alignment with the Financial Markets Authority's guide to conduct.

“ANZIIF has a huge opportunity to influence the industry,” ANZIIF board member Catherine Dixon, who is Executive GM People Experience at Suncorp New Zealand, said.

“ANZIIF’s strong connections across life, general insurance, underwriting, broking or loss adjusting means it is well placed to support professional development focused on improving customer outcomes."

She says integrity underpins the products offered, handling of claims and interaction and communication with customers.
