Financial wellbeing grant program seeks new projects
Nominations are open for the Future2 Foundation’s annual grant program backing financial wellbeing initiatives.
Financial services professionals have until August 21 to submit applications for the Make the Difference Grants.
The program supports projects that enhance young Australians’ financial literacy; support people in need such as those in poverty; help disadvantaged women; and aid regional and remote communities.
“We hope that as many financial services professionals as possible will put forward the names of local organisations that aim to bolster financial wellbeing across Australia,” foundation chair Julie Berry said.
“The grants rely on the nomination process, as organisations can’t apply themselves.
“These grants will help empower individuals and communities in need to achieve greater financial stability and independence.”
Financial services professionals contribute to Future2 through donations, fundraising activities and nominating causes for the grants program.
Grant recipients can get up to $15,000. Future2 has committed $1.8 million to more than 180 community programs since 2007.
