Steadfast unveils ‘innovative’ broker portal

Steadfast Underwriting Agencies has launched the Simplafy Connect personal lines platform to cater for high net worth clients.

Chief Underwriting Officer Personal Lines David McMurdo says there is demand among brokers for a more intuitive and efficient portal, and Simplafy streamlines routine administrative tasks, making speed and flexibility a priority.

“This innovative platform has been meticulously designed following extensive external research with brokers, enabling them to have greater control over quoting, binding and policy management,” he said.

“It’s a policy full life cycle transaction platform that brokers can use 24/7, whether they’re at the office or on the go.

“We encourage brokers to share their feedback to help us continue to evolve the software ecosystem in line with their needs and their clients.”

Prestige motor insurance specialist Dawes Underwriting Australia is the first personal lines underwriting agency to join the platform.

It has rejigged its policies to include higher limits for replacement vehicles, hire cars, cover for learner drivers on vehicles with sum insured up to $100,000, and significant allowances for spare parts.

Its new motorcycle cover also includes limit increases and additions such as provisional riders now being covered.

“We based these changes on extensive market research and believe the outcome is products that have some benefits not found elsewhere on the prestige motor insurance market,” Dawes National Team Leader Jon Burrard said.

“We’re excited to start 2024 with comprehensive products that can help brokers strengthen their client relationships.”

The new policies also grant no excess on claims arising from incidents caused by a current or former partner. See full policy details here.
