Masterclass brings brokers up to speed on ‘dynamic’ cyber market
CFC has launched an education program to help brokers “bridge the knowledge gap” on cyber cover.
The Cyber Masterclass features a free video learning series covering the key considerations of a cyber policy, claims processes, cybercrime and other related risks, and cybersecurity.
Brokers will also have access to a library of resources including CFC’s latest guide on cyber cover, an interactive cyber policy with real-life examples, and other tips for claims handling.
CFC cyber development head Lindsey Maher says the program aims to keep brokers up to date on key issues and new developments in the segment.
“Cyber insurance is one of the most dynamic lines of business in the world of insurance right now and the fundamentals of cyber should be central to any broker training, as it’s no longer a specialist product,” she said. “Yet the reality is there remains a knowledge gap among brokers.
“We want every broker, regardless of whether their clients are large multinational companies or microbusinesses, to feel well equipped to be able to discuss this vital area of coverage.”
CFC says the program has received accreditation from the National Insurance Brokers Association and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
