Marsh has promoted Sam Thomas to be transactional risk head for the Pacific region.  

He takes the role after joining the broker recently as a senior transaction risk adviser. Before that, he spent eight years at Aon, including time as its mergers and acquisitions and transactions solution head.

Mr Thomas also has experience as a legal adviser and tax adviser for M&A, and has worked in warranty and indemnity insurance, tax and contingent management.  

He says helping clients with “the complexities of M&A transactions has long been a passion of mine”, and he looks forward to leading the team.
