GT reshapes leadership for ‘next phase of expansion’
GT Insurance CEO Tony Dodd will become chief commercial officer, a new role supporting the transport and logistics underwriting agency’s expansion in the motor and marine sectors.
He will be succeeded by Nick Slessor, who is currently Cover-More Group chief operating officer and is expected to join the Allianz subsidiary in December.
Mr Dodd, who has been CEO since 2020, will be responsible for delivering sales and distribution strategy, Allianz says.
He has more than 25 years’ experience in commercial insurance, including the past 20 with GT.
“This is an exciting time for GT Insurance, as the organisation enters the next phase of its expansion and reshapes to take up the opportunities ahead, while continuing to deliver great service to broker partners and customers,” Allianz chief GM for personal injury and commercial Julie Mitchell said.
She says Mr Dodd’s leadership has put GT “in a great position as one of the largest and most established underwriting agencies in the market”.
Mr Dodd says he will continue to lead state and national distribution teams for all broker market engagement.
“GT Insurance continues to invest in technology and process improvements to provide better outcomes for our customers,” he said. “This transition will ensure our broker partners, customers and people are a fundamental part of GT Insurance’s evolution.”
