Former Aon Australia chief Lambrou promoted
Lambros Lambrou has been appointed chief strategy officer at Aon, which is now conducting an internal search for his replacement as human capital CEO.
Mr Lambrou has been with the global broker for more than 38 years and was Aon Risk Solutions Australia CEO from 2013 to 2018. He is now based in New York.
Last year, Aon announced the $US13 billion ($20.22 billion) acquisition of NFP – a middle market property and casualty broker and wealth manager – and in his new role, Mr Lambrou will work closely with NFP CEO Doug Hammond.
He will continue to report to CEO and president Greg Case, who says Mr Lambrou is a “proven Aon leader” and will build on momentum at NFP.
Mr Lambrou said: “I am excited to work more with Doug and the entire NFP team to further enhance our collaboration and accelerate the delivery of unmatched value to our clients.
“One year into our partnership, our independent and connected model is working in bringing the best of Aon and NFP to our clients.”
Mr Lambrou’s other previous roles include commercial risk CEO, chief commercial officer, CEO of global specialties for commercial risk solutions, global broking centre CEO in London, chief broking officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Aon broking global COO, and head of Aon analytics.
