CQIB names award winners
The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB) has named the recipients of its annual awards recognising the state’s outstanding general insurance companies and advisers.
Awards were presented across six categories including the Vero-sponsored Peter McCarthy Young Professional, and CQIB All-rounder winners.
Vero Insurance won the CQIB All-rounder of the Year Award and State Distribution Manager Commercial Insurance Peter Roberts accepted the prize on behalf of the insurer.
QBE took the runner-up spot and the insurer was represented by Manager Partnerships Sonny De Livera at the award ceremony attended by 340 CQIB members and business partners at the association’s traditional Queensland Day celebration lunch on June 8.
CQIB says the All-rounder award is based on the performance of insurers over the past 12 months across the following areas: levels of security, range of products, service levels, claims administration, accounts, communication, price and availability of senior management.
Austbrokers Comsure’s Justin Wise won the Peter McCarthy CQIB Young Professional of the Year Award. He received $1000 plus full delegate registration at the upcoming CQIB Convention in Cairns.
The award is presented to a young broker who has given their brokerage, clients and the insurance industry “outstanding” commitment and service over the past 12 months, CQIB said.
