CFC adds free ‘cyber for industries’ training module
Cyber specialist CFC has added a fifth module to its free masterclass series for brokers.
The module, cyber for industries, explores exposure across seven sectors: healthcare, construction, retail and hospitality, manufacturing, education, the public sector, and professional services.
“By focusing on industry-specific threats and real-world scenarios, we’re giving brokers the tools and confidence to have more relevant, targeted cyber conversations,” head of global cyber development Lindsey Maher said. “That helps clients better understand their exposure and supports brokers in growing cyber adoption.”
CFC also says it is piloting agentic underwriting.
The process produces a quote recommendation in seconds by automating data extraction on low-complexity submissions. CFC plans to test and refine the new Lane Assist technology before a broader rollout.
“This is not a lab experiment – it’s working with real submissions, in live workflows,” head of data and AI Chris Mullan said. “By starting small, we can validate outcomes, learn quickly and ensure the technology fully supports our underwriters rather than overriding their judgment.”
CFC’s Cyber Masterclass is a free on-demand video learning series for brokers, with more than 6000 signing up so far. The other four modules are fundamentals of cyber, policy breakdown, selling cyber insurance, and cybersecurity.
The new module shows how risks differ by industry, and includes scenarios demonstrating how cyber insurance responds and practical examples brokers can use in client discussions.
