Artes, Mobius to support forestry standards group
British construction and engineering underwriting agency Artes Specialty and Australian broker Mobius Insurance have become foundational sponsors of ForestFit.
“Artes and Mobius are investing in an initiative that promotes continual improvement, stronger governance and enhanced workforce capability across Australia’s forestry sector,” they said.
“The sponsorship builds on the success of the Artes Commercial Harvesting proposition in Australia, distributed through Mobius Insurance, and reflects a shared belief that supporting specialist industries extends beyond providing insurance products.”
ForestFit has a nationally accredited standards and certification scheme to support business sustainability, work health and safety, and environmental management practices across forest service businesses.
Mobius Insurance director Tom Richards says the sponsorship is a “natural extension” of his group’s partnership with Artes.
“Working closely with Australian forestry contractors and brokers, we’ve seen first-hand the investment businesses are making in safer equipment, new technology and stronger operating practices,” he said.
“By backing an organisation that promotes higher standards and continual improvement, we’re helping support an industry that is becoming increasingly professional, resilient and sustainable.”
Artes Specialty CEO Chris Thomas said: “We’ve always believed that specialist industries deserve specialist insurance, but they also deserve long-term partners who recognise and support good risk management. ForestFit shares that philosophy, by encouraging continual improvement and helping businesses strengthen the systems that underpin safer, more resilient operations.”
