Gerry Power has been appointed GM of Australia at Cowbell, working alongside local head of underwriting Anthony Wall.

CEO Jack Kudale says Australia is a key market as Cowbell expands internationally.

“Gerry brings deep market experience and strong broker relationships, which are critical to building a cyber insurance business that is both practical and responsive to local needs. His leadership will help us support brokers with clear, tailored solutions,” Mr Kudale said.

Cowbell, founded in 2019 in California, secured a $US60 million ($86 million) investment from Zurich in 2024.

The pair’s recently launched PrimeOne standalone cyber product uses artificial intelligence to quote, bind and underwrite applications in less than five minutes. It offers cyber cover limits up to $5 million.

Sydney-based Mr Power began his career as a Zurich underwriter and was head of sales at cyber specialist Emergence Insurance for six years.

At Cowbell, which also operates in the UK and India, he will lead local expansion, working closely with brokers.
