Willis confirms Pacific roles for former Aon execs

Willis has appointed Eden Fletcher as head of FINEX and Stephen Trickey as head of growth for the Pacific region.

The WTW-owned broker announced the moves today, confirming an insuranceNEWS.com.au report last July that they were leaving Aon Australia for the roles.

Willis says Mr Fletcher replaces Jill Stewart following her retirement, and the addition of Mr Trickey will further “bolster segmentation and specialty capabilities … with a focus on FINEX”.

Mr Fletcher was previously Aon Australia head of specialty solutions and Mr Trickey was chief commercial officer.

“A key focus of our strategy is to further expand the unrivalled level of expertise we bring to our clients,” WTW head of Pacific James Baum said.

“Today’s appointments underscore our ongoing commitment to this goal.”

Mr Fletcher, who starts tomorrow, posted on LinkedIn this afternoon: “Today is the end of a 20-year chapter at Aon. I’ve really valued the opportunities to work together on complex problems, share the wins, and learn from the tougher moments. I’m excited to get started.”

Mr Trickey is returning to Willis after starting his insurance career as a claims broker with the firm in London in 1986.

“Tomorrow, I begin a new chapter as I return to Willis … Over three and a half decades [at Aon], I have enjoyed countless memorable experiences,” he said on LinkedIn yesterday.

“Looking ahead, I can’t wait to put on the Willis purple shirt and help this brilliant global brand grow its presence in the Pacific region.”
