QBE has appointed Jo Hatcher as Australia Pacific consumer MD, taking over from Julie Starley, who has become chief claims officer.

Ms Hatcher joined the insurer in 2019 and has held senior positions in the consumer division, including leading the direct and digital business. Most recently she was SME and digital innovation GM.

“I’m so pleased to be stepping into the role of managing director, consumer,” she said on LinkedIn today. “I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue driving innovative and future-focused solutions that improve customer experience.”

Ms Hatcher held senior positions at IAG and Suncorp before moving to QBE.

“Jo brings extensive customer and leadership experience, as well as broad experience in personal lines insurance products, positioning her well for this role,” a spokesperson told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
