A year in stories: your favourite articles from 2025

There has been a steady flow of significant news stories this year, and the team at insuranceNEWS.com.au has already published more than 2700 articles.

Here, we look back at the 10 most popular articles viewed on our website since January 1. While some obvious Breaking News items dominate (we’ve published an extraordinary 29 Breaking News articles this year), there are a few surprises too.

5. AIG hit with $30,000 code breach penalty, June 25 (11,449 views)

The insurance code governance committee has imposed a $30,000 penalty on AIG Australia for breaching obligations to tell customers their complaints had been delayed or that they had the right to take matters to the ombudsman.

6. Coverforce split among Steadfast businesses, November 5 (11,277 views)
