Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Jeremy Scott-Mackenzie as global head of professional liability.

He was most recently Asia-Pacific head of casualty and finpro, and has held several other positions with the insurer over the past eight years.

The newly created global role brings professional liability capability under one roof, he says in a LinkedIn post.

“It’s an exciting time for professional liability: complex risks are growing, loss trends are shifting globally and the role of the underwriter is more important than ever.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with an amazing group of colleagues, clients and brokers so far – and I’m looking forward to building on that further.”

Mr Scott-Mackenzie is a past president of the Australasian Professional Indemnity Group.
