Seafaring veteran to address marine forum

The Melbourne Marine Insurance Forum will host Charles Taylor Adjusting marine technical services director Harshvardhan Kumar for a session on cargo risks next month.  

Captain Kumar’s seminar – The Vagaries of Marine Transit – will examine cargo containment and factors influencing losses.  

He will give examples of containerised cargo losses and their key causes and effects.  

Captain Kumar has more than 45 years’ maritime industry experience, including 28 years at sea for major shipping lines before moving into insurance as a surveyor in 2010.
