The NT Insurance Conference will be held at Darwin Convention Centre on October 8-10 with the theme “transparency and trust”.

The event ends with a gala dinner, when winners of the NT Insurance Industry Awards and Stewart Cox memorial prize will be announced.

Young Insurance Professionals NT committee president Travis Saxby says transparency and trust are “essential pillars of the insurance industry”.

“In a sector often characterised by complex policies and technical language ... lack of transparency can erode trust, damage reputations and hinder progress,” he said.

“It doesn’t really matter whether you work in insurance or banking or retail, if people don’t trust your brand, then you’re probably not going to do a lot of business.”
