NT award recipients named

Star Insurance Solutions founder Joshua Clayfield was crowned NT broker of the year at a gala dinner in Darwin.

“Known for his exceptional client advocacy and skill in navigating complex coverages, Josh stands beside his clients when they need him most,” awards organisers said.

The business development/underwriting professional of the year award went to GT Insurance’s Toni Willis, and the claims professional prize was handed to TIO’s Rebecca Scott.

Customer service professional honours went to joint winners: Allianz’s Theodora Oktaviani and TIO MAC lifetime care and support case manager Elizabeth Grosser.

The young insurance professional of the year was Allianz Workers Compensation claims specialist Ereenie Rakkas, and the service provider prize went to Hall & Wilcox’s Kate Frost.

A new award for outstanding contribution to the NT insurance industry by a team was won by QBE Darwin.

The Stewart Cox Memorial Award was given to QBE’s Colin Chilcott, who the judges say has “transformed the Northern Territory, ACT and Tasmania into some of the most successful and sustainable insurance operations in the region.

“His success comes from a disciplined approach to claims management, actuarial-based underwriting, strategic marketing, exceptional customer service, and careful expense control.”

The awards dinner was at the Darwin Convention Centre on October 10.
