Motor trades body makes ‘planned transition’ at top
The Motor Trades Association of Australia has appointed Peter Jones as interim executive director.
Mr Jones is CEO of the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce, a member of the national association.
He has taken over from Motor Trades Association of Queensland CEO Rod Camm, who has finished his six-month interim term.
“Peter brings exceptional industry knowledge and leadership experience to this role at an important time for the Australian automotive sector,” MTAA chair Sid Cetindag said.
“His deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our industry will ensure continuity of service to our members across the nation.”
The MTAA says Mr Camm will continue leading work to update the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
“Rod’s expertise in this critical area has been invaluable, and we are pleased he will continue to drive this important work forward,” Mr Cetindag said.
“This planned transition allows Peter to focus on the day-to-day leadership of MTAA while Rod concentrates on delivering outcomes in the insurance space.”
