Steadfast-owned Mecon Insurance has recruited Clifford Scott as head of construction for its New Zealand operations.

Mr Scott has held senior roles with AIG in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney, and worked at Allied World as Asia-Pacific head of construction and engineering, based in Singapore.

Mecon says the appointment “reinforces [our] commitment to direct broker support, expanded expertise, and specialised risk solutions tailored to the evolving construction industry”.

The construction insurance specialist is part of Underwriting Agencies Australia, which is majority-owned by Steadfast.
