McLarens names forensic accounting leaders

Claims services provider McLarens has made Jane Amling and Paul Sheehy its Australian forensic accounting heads for financial lines and business interruption.

Ms Amling is currently cyber head for Australia and New Zealand and a senior forensic accountant. She joined McLarens in 2021 after working at Crawford & Company, Marsh and Deloitte.

Mr Sheehy is a senior forensic accountant and executive loss adjuster. He worked at Crawford & Company from 2011 to 2021 before joining McLarens.

The pair will succeed Australian forensic accounting head Martin Miller, who will step down on March 31.

Mr Miller is expected to continue in a consulting role, supporting complex claims and handling training and development responsibilities.

McLarens Australia MD Torben Bell says Ms Amling and Mr Sheehy are “highly respected leaders with complementary skill sets and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs.

“Their appointments reflect our long-term commitment to technical excellence, succession planning and continued investment in our forensic accounting capability.

“We also thank Martin for his outstanding contribution to McLarens and the broader insurance industry over the last 35 years.”
