Loss adjuster Bill Campbell remembered

Loss adjuster Bill Campbell, who established WE Campbell & Company in Sydney, has died after a long illness.

The Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) says Mr Campbell established the business in 1969 and it operated with great success until his retirement in 2015.

“He was a respected chartered loss adjuster, highly regarded by instructing insurers and genuine claimants, but not so much by dishonest claimants,” AICLA says.

“This was a testament to the era in which he did much of his work; when adjusters were respected by both insurers and insureds to impartially adjust claims for the benefit of both parties.”

AICLA says Mr Campbell was dedicated to the insurance industry and was the author of numerous papers on various aspects of the business.

Mr Campbell died on February 5, aged 87.
