Last Dive In a ‘catalyst for what comes next’

The final Dive in festival will take place from September 22-24 with the theme “the human gAIn: powering culture and connection”.

After a decade using the tagline “diversity and inclusion”, last year’s festival was one of “culture and talent”, and the opening session in London drew protests and accusations of hypocrisy over the underwriting of fossil fuel projects and arms manufacturers.

Last month, it was announced Dive In 2026 will be the last one.

“This final year of the festival will act as both a celebration of the industry’s collective progress and a catalyst for what comes next, bringing the global community together in a festival format one last time to drive meaningful dialogue and action,” Dive In organisers say.

Dive In chair Nick Line, who is CFC chief underwriting officer, says the festival is “at its heart about building an insurance market where anyone with the talent and ambition to succeed has a fair chance of doing so”.

The 2026 theme spotlights technological advancement and human capability. Attendees will explore how organisations can retain judgment, empathy, creativity and trust alongside artificial intelligence.

“As AI reshapes the workplace, building trust, belonging and shared purpose has never been more important in creating a more inclusive future,” Gallagher global director of inclusion and diversity David Martin said.
