Insurance News launches innovative conference

Insurance News will hold its inaugural industry conference in March next year with the aim of providing deeper understanding of the global and national insurance industries.

Early bird tickets for the one-day event, which features an extensive line-up of expert industry speakers, are now available

Titled “Where Is Insurance Going?”, the conference is being organised by Insurance News’ INsight unit. It will examine the many factors forcing change in the industry’s dynamic and structures, and suggest what happens next.

Expert speakers lining up to present their views include CEOs from across the industry as well as economics and actuarial experts. They are charged with discussing how the Australian industry fits into the broader national economic and social picture, how the industry is changing and emerging opportunities are emerging.

The one-day event is being held at Sydney’s Barangaroo on March 19. It is supported by gold partners Axa XL and Liberty Specialty Markets.

Insurance News Chairman and Publisher Terry McMullan says the conference is unique for its “non-aligned” approach and the sharp focus of its subjects.

“Our role at Insurance News is to provide the facts, not to tell people what to think,” he said.

“By building better understanding of the industry’s issues and opportunities, we give businesses and insurance professionals the background knowledge they need to make more informed decisions.

“We’ve been delighted by the calibre and enthusiasm of the industry leaders who have signed on to define and debate the things we all need to know about, and to chart the best ways forward.

“It’s another way we can serve the industry by promoting ideas, building understanding and encouraging pride in the essential role insurance plays in the local and global economies.”

Attendees at the conference can acquire 6.42 ANZIIF CIP points and 5 NIBA CPD points. There is also a generous early-bird discount. Click here for more information and registration details.
