Chubb country president for Australia and New Zealand Ben Howell has joined the Insurance Council of Australia board.

Mr Howell took his current role at Chubb in September last year after serving as head of consumer for Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore, for two years.

ICA says his experience across many insurance lines and experience as head of consumer will be an asset to its board.

Avant Mutual group CEO Natasha Fenech left the board last month after six years, and Tara Page ended her term in July.
