GB wins community support award

Gallagher Bassett has been recognised at this year’s SA Volunteer Awards.

The claims manager received the premier’s award for corporate social responsibility, which recognises a business that places “people, partnerships and community wellbeing at the centre of its work”.

Gallagher Bassett’s SA team has held donation drives for charities and raised more than $900 for children’s and mental health groups. It also prepared more than 5200 book packs for Raising Literacy Australia, helping youngsters in out-of-home care.

The SA operation participated in the company’s national drive to provide food packages to First Nations groups and people experiencing food insecurity, and it has supported the SA Police Gentle Bear program, which provides teddy bears to emergency service workers to comfort children in crisis.

“This recognition reflects our enduring commitment to supporting local communities,” Gallagher Basset SA GM Shelley Reynolds said.
