Fuse was crowned medium recruitment agency of the year at industry giant Seek’s annual awards.

MD Mathew Westcott says the win “feels especially significant” because it coincides with Fuse Recruitment turning 15.

“Our work in the insurance sector has always been a cornerstone of Fuse, and we are grateful for the long-standing trust placed in us,” he said. “This award has been 15 years in the making.”

Fuse partners with insurers, brokers, underwriting agencies, claims specialists, licensees and financial advice groups nationwide. It also offers a graduate and internship program.

Head of strategy Cameron Watson, who spent 22 years in insurance before moving into recruitment, said: “I’ve seen first-hand the importance of strong, long-term partnerships.

“Over the years, we’ve helped clients navigate industry and market shifts, catastrophe events and workforce challenges. It is rewarding to see that effort acknowledged.”

Fuse plans to grow its insurance and financial services capability, using AI to streamline processes and free consultants to focus on high-value client and candidate support. 

It also aims to establish early-career and regional talent pipelines, and provide tailored workforce planning for insurers, intermediaries and claims providers.
