Global underwriting agency Victor Insurance says former QBE executive David Burnage has joined its Australian business as head of programs – a newly created role.

He is responsible for growing the underwriting portfolio, expanding program partnerships and overseeing underwriting strategy.

Mr Burnage was most recently QBE Insurance head of SME portfolio management, according to his LinkedIn. He left the insurer in March after more than 13 years.

He is based in Sydney and will report to Victor Australia CEO Mel Herman.
