Ex-president Singh takes APIG lifetime award
The Australasian Professional Indemnity Group has presented its lifetime membership award to former president Robin Singh.
Mr Singh joined the national committee in 2002, was president from 2006-11 and played a key role in organising the first conference in 2007.
“The APIG lifetime membership award recognises individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution to APIG and the financial lines industry,” national president Mitchell Spurr said. “This year, we were proud to honour Robin Singh, whose leadership and service have helped shape APIG’s national presence and elevate industry standards.
“His legacy is one of integrity, collaboration and enduring impact.”
The Wotton Kearney APIG scholarship has been won by Dominic Parkes-Dolan from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
The $9500 award recognises emerging claims talent and helps recipients attend an international conference in a specialist area such as professional indemnity.
Wotton Kearney, APIG and the Lloyd’s Market Association have also named Ellie Howell of Scor Business Solutions as the £5000 ($10,200) WKLMA FinPro travelling scholarship winner.
As previously reported, Aon Australia head of construction Mary-Catherine Hamill was presented with the biennial Gilchrist Connell Frank Earl Award for excellence.
The award winners were honoured at this year’s national conference in Sydney.
