Claims manager Gallagher Bassett has appointed Grant McDonald as government strategy leader for client services.

Mr McDonald was most recently claims GM with icare, working in the NSW state insurer’s Treasury Managed Fund operation.

He has also held leadership roles with QBE across statutory and general insurance, and has worked as a consultant to government and commercial groups.

“Grant’s strategic vision and leadership will enhance our ability to partner with government clients at all levels – local, state and federal,” Gallagher Bassett Australia chief client officer Pete Diskin said.

Mr McDonald started the role in August, according to his LinkedIn.

“Since joining … Grant has been instrumental in leading major projects, showcasing his deep understanding of government operations and his ability to tackle complex challenges,” Gallagher Bassett said.
