Domo continues backing for family violence campaign
Family violence support group You Matter has hailed Domo Insurance property and construction head Anthony White’s efforts as part of its Stand Up in September campaign.
Mr White was one of the “top eight” men securing pledges to raise awareness and drive change on the issue of family violence in their industries.
“As a dad to a little girl, the thought of her growing up in today’s world is frightening,” Mr White said. “I want her to grow up in a world that is free of violence and full of love.
“By speaking up and raising awareness, we can take steps towards ending domestic violence and creating a better world for all women.”
Mr White took part after Domo Insurance CEO William Dunn participated in last year’s Stand Up.
The campaign has raised $38,000 for the charity’s Haven of Hope program, which transforms empty homes into safe places for women and children recovering from violence.
You Matter says the fundraiser coincides with the AFL finals, during which reports of family violence historically rise.
