Regional Insurance Brokers group GM Danny Brandon has been re-elected Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers president.

Mr Brandon, who has served in the role since 2023, set out the council’s 2026-27 agenda after last week’s annual general meeting. 

“Over the next 12 months, the board will focus on training, connections, and growth,” he said. “Our industry needs highly skilled broking, underwriting and claims professionals so businesses receive informed advice and appropriate insurance protection. 

“With broker membership remaining steady and strong interest in our business partner program, CQIB continues to strengthen its reach across Queensland’s insurance market. 

“As our industry evolves, the association must continue to adapt to meet the changing needs of Queensland’s insurance market.”
