Clyde & Co has made special counsel Steven Lurie a partner at its Sydney office.  

Mr Lurie has more than 25 years’ legal experience and joined the firm in 2019 from Colin Biggers & Paisley.  

He specialises in professional indemnity, construction, liability insurance and other financial lines.  

Clyde & Co says Mr Lurie’s promotion bolsters its liability and indemnity team following the additions of Hugo Thomas, Kyle Bowles and William Madani as special counsels in Sydney.  

Australian managing partner Rebecca Kelly says the appointment “underlines our growing, strong presence in our core sector of insurance, and reinforces the career pathways available as part of our Australian practice”.
