Clyde & Co announces leadership change to Australia team

Law firm Clyde & Co has announced Rebecca Kelly as its new Australia Managing Partner.

Ms Kelly, who currently serves as Head of Litigation and Regulatory for the firm’s Middle East operations, will take on the role at the start of the new year.

As part of the position, she will provide a leadership role for Clyde & Co’s Australia team as it continues its expansion within the region.

“We have strong ambitions in Australia over the coming five years where we are seeking to offer clients in our core sectors leading disputes, regulatory and corporate and commercial services,” Clyde & Co APAC Board Chair and Partner Simon McConnell said.

“As well as our expertise in insurance, construction, energy, trading and marine, we are seeking to grow by providing clients a fully rounded offering, including in regulatory and investigations, which is why Rebecca is ideally placed to lead the firm in Australia on our growth path.”

Ms Kelly has over two decades of legal experience and will return to Australia after previously being based in Dubai. Her offices will be in Brisbane.

She replaces the outgoing Lucinda Lyons following her appointment at Kennedys as a partner in Australia.
