Canopius has appointed Chen Zhang as Asia-Pacific head of claims and Channing Chiu to the newly created role of regional strategy and transformation lead.

Mr Zhang, who has more than 15 years’ experience, joins from FM, where he was most recently Hong Kong branch manager. Ms Chiu was previously at AIG Singapore, where she led the SME segment and was underwriting and portfolio manager for four markets in southeast Asia and China.

The pair will report to Canopius Asia-Pacific CEO Soon Keen Lee, who said: “Both bring outstanding track records and a depth of experience that will be critical as we sharpen our focus on technical excellence, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.”

Canopius says Ms Chiu will work closely with Ms Lee and the regional executive committee to set strategic goals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organisation.
