Melbourne-based Richard Adamczyk has been appointed senior claims manager Australia and New Zealand at Canopius Group. 

Two regional appointments in Singapore were also announced: Louise Wai is head of property D&F Asia Pacific and Jack Hullah is head of credit and political risk Asia Pacific, effective in November.  

“Richard, Jack and Louise are outstanding additions to our Asia Pacific team and bring highly respected market reputations, deep technical expertise and proven leadership credentials," CEO Asia Pacific Soon Keen Lee said. 

"Their appointments reflect our continued commitment to investing in underwriting and claims talent as we continue to strengthen our specialty capabilities, deliver exceptional underwriting and claims service to both brokers and clients, and drive our next phase of growth across Asia Pacific.” 

Mr Adamczyk was most recently Legal Practitioners' Liability Committee head of claims, and formerly spent 15 years with AIG, most recently as head of financial lines claims Australasia. 

"Richard will play a key role in advancing Canopius' claims capability and support brokers, coverholders and insureds across ANZ and the wider region," Canopius said. 

Ms Wai was most recently underwriting manager, engineering and property solutions, Asia at Helvetia Swiss Insurance Company, while Mr Hullah has been Axa regional product lead for Asia credit & political risk.
