Broking bosses prepare for CEO sleepout
Insurance broking executives are leading the industry’s representation at this year’s Vinnies CEO Sleepout.
Community Broker Network CEO Richard Crawford, who will take part in his second sleepout at Adelaide Zoo, holds the leading position in terms of money raised, with more than $12,600.
Thomas Insurance Brokers senior broker Shannan Scott will also bed down at Adelaide Zoo, in her first sleepout supporting people affected by homelessness. So far, she has raised $4947 of her $6000 target.
“For over a decade, I have proudly donated to the CEO Sleepout because homelessness is a reality no one should have to face,” Ms Scott said. “I’m so honoured to be taking part by sleeping out this year, raising vital funds, creating awareness and standing alongside organisations that work tirelessly to provide shelter, safety and hope.
“The crisis on our streets is more visible than ever and the need for action is impossible to ignore.”
Some 1437 executives have signed up for the one-night sleepout on June 18, with more than $2.5 million raised so far. Funds go to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
