Luke Whenman has been appointed chief claims officer for general insurance at Allianz Australia.

Mr Whenman previously spent 11 years at Suncorp, finishing in March as EGM of motor claims. He is also the claims advisory board chair at the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, and formerly worked for eight years at PwC.

“I’m excited to join a claims team that delivers great outcomes for Allianz customers every day, and look forward to working with [chief customer and operations officer] Brendan Dunne, [MD] Richard Feledy and the wider executive team to build for the future,” Mr Whenman said.
