Allianz Australia has appointed Venkat Balakrishnan as chief information security officer.

Mr Balakrishnan, who previously held a similar role at life insurer TAL, joined last month.

“Venkat brings a wealth of insurance industry experience and extensive expertise in cyber and information security,” Allianz Australia chief customer and operations officer Brendan Dunne said.

“With his strategic vision and proven leadership, Venkat will play a crucial role as we navigate the evolving cybersecurity landscape.”
