ACT award winners revealed

CGU workers’ compensation case management specialist Craig Moorfoot has been named insurance leader of the year in the ACT’s industry awards program.

His leadership, mentorship and trusted relationships were recognised, according to ACT Insurance Awards organisers.

“Respected widely across the market, Craig’s influence extends beyond business outcomes alone,” they said.

“His contribution has helped shape standards, strengthen professional relationships and positively influence the direction of the industry over many years.”

Suncorp’s Nick Symons won the excellence in leadership category, PSC Insurance Brokers’ Paul Eccles took the community contribution and engagement award, and EML’s Tim Cologon won the human impact prize.

IQumulate Premium Funding’s Zoe Higgins won the deal-maker of the year award, and Suncorp’s Heather Arnold won for excellence in claims.

Moray & Agnew’s Joseph Everdell was named risk mitigator of the year, Guardian Exercise Rehabilitation Services Carly Sharp was best support person, and Prudence Rehabilitation’s Anthony Amati won provider of the year.

ACT Insurance Ball committee chair Emily-Rose Srbinovska says the awards evening raised almost $37,000 for charity Running for Resilience, which supports mental health and suicide prevention initiatives across the territory.

“The generosity shown across the evening, through raffle contributions, auction items and direct support, was exceptional,” she said.
