SRG widens Australian footprint with Perth office
Specialist Risk Group has entered the WA market, opening an office in Perth as it continues a national expansion following its February launch in Australia.
The Perth office will be led by new managing partners Josh Lauren and Sarah Micallef.
SRG Australia has already opened offices in Sydney, Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast, and the team has increased to more than 60 specialists across key practice areas.
“Perth is a key part of SRG’s continued growth and expansion in Australia. Since launching in February, we have built strong momentum, and establishing a presence in WA is a natural next step,” MD Laurence Basell said.
“Josh and Sarah have deep knowledge of the Perth market and strong client relationships. I’m delighted to welcome them to SRG to lead the business as we continue to build our national footprint.”
The business, part of London-based SRG, says it is committed to establishing a national presence that combines local expertise with international scale and specialist capability.
Mr Lauren and Ms Micallef have more than 45 years’ combined experience across broking and specialist risk, having held senior roles with global and local groups in Perth and the UK.
“We look forward to building a strong local team and working with colleagues across Australia and the wider group to help our clients manage their risks and grow their businesses,” Mr Lauren said.
WA’s economy spans resources, energy, construction, agriculture and professional services, and the Perth team aims to support businesses across the state with tailored solutions.
“From the Pilbara to the wheatbelt, Western Australian businesses face some of the most complex and diverse risks in the country,” Ms Micallef said.
“They need a partner who understands the local landscape and can bring genuine specialist expertise to the table.”
