NIBA launches 2026 convention with future focus

This year’s National Insurance Brokers Association Convention will centre on the theme “future ready”.

The event at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast will feature a young professionals night – a networking opportunity for the next generation of brokers – and this year’s fringe stage will have an updated look, aiming to create a more informal and engaging environment for presentations.

“This year, ‘future readyʼ will come to life, not only through the content and conversations on stage, but through every part of the delegate experience,” NIBA CEO Richard Klipin said.

The association says the theme reflects a “profession that continues to evolve, adapt and lead”.

NIBA president Nick Cook said: “Brokers are operating on the front line of a rapidly shifting landscape, shaped by emerging risks, technological disruption and changing client needs. Being future ready is no longer optional, it is essential.”

The three-day convention, from October 18, will end with a gala dinner and awards night.

Last year’s convention welcomed more than 890 attendees, with 79 speakers across 34 sessions. The event also raised $95,000 for associated charity groups.

“Super early bird” tickets to this year’s event are now on sale. Find information here.
