The National Insurance Brokers Association is calling on young professionals to attend five events supporting career development at its convention this year.

The convention on the Gold Coast in October will for the first time offer curated sessions for emerging insurance professionals.

There will be a masterclass titled Build a Broker: From Graduate to Industry Leader; two breakout sessions; a “first-timers” event; and a session designed to connect young professionals, featuring “minute to win it” challenges in an “energetic evening of friendly competition”.

“The convention will help young professionals develop the skills, knowledge and relationships needed to thrive in a changing profession,” NIBA says.

A session called From Personal Brand to Business Success: How Brokers Stand Out will reveal lessons and approaches that helped risk advisers shine in a competitive market and build long-term client relationships.

Another – From Transactional to Transformational: Building Future-Ready Brokers – will explore structured risk profiling and deeper client understanding to deliver value beyond the renewal cycle.
