WTW Pacific region CEO James Baum has joined the National Insurance Brokers Association board.

The company was previously represented on the peak body’s board by Greg Vlahos, who died in September. 

Mr Baum has been at WTW since July last year and previously spent almost 19 years in leadership roles at Aon, including about four as Australia CEO.

“With a proven track record in managing strategic client engagement and robust market relationships ... he thrives on leveraging his strategic leadership skills to embed a high-performing culture into his teams,” NIBA said.

Also on the NIBA board are president Nicholas Cook, representing Steadfast; Rebecca Wilson for NSW/ACT; Gary Okely for Marsh; Dianne Phelan for SA/NT; Stella Pruscino for Victoria/Tasmania; Lynette Walsh for Aon, Steven Hill for Queensland; Ben Bessell for AUB Group; Mark Saunderson for Gallagher; Gregory Mullins for Envest Group; and Brett Piggott for WA.
