The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers revealed its annual award winners at a Brisbane ceremony.

About 300 members and business partners attended the group’s traditional Queensland Day lunch at the Rivershed, Howard Smith Wharves.

“The Queensland Day Awards recognise the performance of our business partners over the past 12 months, as voted by CQIB members,” president Danny Brandon said.

“We are proud to continue the tradition of fostering connections and camaraderie among industry professionals.”

The awards have been running since 1996. Below is the list of this year’s winners.

• The Peter McCarthy CQIB Young Professional of the Year Award (sponsored by Vero Insurance): Aidan Harmer, Regional Insurance Brokers
• The Mick Lambert Barker Award, presented to a CQIB business partner staff member for service above and beyond: Veronica Dawson, Sportscover
